Position:  Field Worker (Non-renewal 6-month contract)

Department:   Economic Development
Division: Health – Primary Health Care and Social Development
Salary: R4 356 per month

Core Responsibilities: 

Educate communities on local services, how to utilize those services and refer to relevant services.

Demand creation for outreach programmes and events

Follow-up on identified and referred cases as well as give feedback reports.

Participate and be involved with community programmes.

Participate on the National Health Calendar events and campaigns.

Queue Marshalls 

Food gardening programme

Interviewing of prospective client for referral

Identification and reporting of household social ills for further attention to the area social worker

Report any further issues to your sub-regional team leader

Door to door awareness, education, and campaign

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Grade 10
South African Citizen
Resident of City of Ekurhuleni
Age 18 -35 years, but men and women over 35 years will be considered
Ability to read and write and understand verbal and written instructions.
Interest and willingness in Agricultural projects
Must be based in communities where they serve, i.e., ward-based (specify ward number)
Ability to capture and compile, daily, weekly, and monthly activities before it is submitted to Supervisor
Willingness to undergo basic training on specific job placement
